Who We Are

The Mahogany Community Association (MCA) was created in 2024 by a small group of residents who believed Mahogany deserved more than just beautiful homes and scenic pathways. It deserved a strong, inclusive, and empowered community where everyone feels they belong.

As Mahogany grew into one of Calgary’s most dynamic and diverse neighbourhoods, it became clear that a volunteer led organization was needed to bring people together, amplify community voices, and help guide the neighbourhood’s future. That vision, along with the desire to celebrate our diversity, stand up for resident interests, and protect the natural beauty of our shared spaces, is what led to the formation of the MCA.

From the beginning, our focus has been on connection, inclusion, and working together. We exist to foster a sense of belonging, build local pride, and help make Mahogany a thriving and welcoming place for everyone. Our work is guided by a few core values. These include inclusivity and diversity, environmental stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and a commitment to community well being.

Even though we are still in our early years, we have already laid the foundation for meaningful impact. We have built relationships with the City of Calgary, developers, and local organizations. We have hosted our first events, launched programs, and welcomed members who believe in creating a community that listens, celebrates, and grows together.

We are entirely volunteer driven and supported by optional community memberships, supportive partners, and the dedication of residents who care deeply about the place they call home.

As we continue to grow, our story is still being written by you, by your neighbors, and by everyone who believes that Mahogany is more than just a neighborhood. It is a connected, caring, and inclusive community.
